Chaat is enjoyed by the people of Indian subcontinent like in the regions of Nepal Pakistan and India and South East Asian nations. Chaat is savory snack or dish usually preferred during evening time and people have chat (innumerable discussions or gossips) having chaat is a great combination in Indian society. These small chaat stalls can be seen on the sides of road selling fast food and spicy, tangy, and sweet flavor snacks.Chaat is an Indian dish of boiled foods main ingredient potato, or raw fruits and basket of aromatic flavoring spices are sprinkled over it. Various versions of chaat are easily seen on the stalls and making chaat at home is also very easy. Some of the chaat names I am going to quote here as by reading the name your mouth is going to watery soon. Today we are going make chaat recipe at home and the chaat recipe is for beginners and simple.
Chaat katori recipe
For 2 person
Total time – 30 minutes
Preparation time – 10 minutes
Cooking and Serving time – 20 minutes
Chaat katori recipe ingredients:-
1. Refined flour or maida (1 small bowl approx 150gm)
2. Groundnut oil (200ml)
3. Olive oil (4 tablespoon)
4. Pink salt
5. Yogurt / Hung curd (100gm)
6. Onion (2 medium sized)
7. Tomato (1 medium sized)
8. Green chili (2-4)
9. Chaat masala (1 sachet) or chaat masala recipe at home (given the recipe, read it)
10. Roasted cumin powder (1 teaspoon)
11. Baking powder (2 pinch)
12. Kashmiri laal mirch powder (1 pinch)
13. Green sprouted mung beans (2 tablespoon)
14. Pomegranate (1/2 small bowl)
15. Black and white toasted sesame seeds (1 tablespoon)
16. Boiled green peas (100gm)
17. Lemon juice (2 tablespoon)
18. Tamarind chutney or ketchup

Chaat Katori making recipe:-
Making of katori
Step 1 – Take a big vessel or bowl and pour refined flour and add pink salt, baking powder(2 pinch) and 3 tablespoon of olive oil and knead it roughly after that add water slowly spoon by spoon as to knead the dough and making it soft and leave the dough covered in muslin cloth for half an hour for resting.
Step 2 – After half an hour check the dough and once again knead it for 2 – 3 times and divide the dough into 4 equal small and round portion.
Step 3 – Roll the dough one by one by the help of roller on kitchen slab after dusting the slab with little refined flour and make in shape small poori.
Step 4 – Now take a copper made bowl (katori) or aluminium bowl of small size and grease it with groundnut oil and wrap it with the small poori leaving the edges of katori.
Step 6 – Now pour some groundnut oil in kadahi or frying pan and deep fry it, while frying the katori will automatically get separated from the poori and the poori gets the shape of katori and take out both katoris one by one till the poori wali katori gets a good golden brown color.
Precaution :- Cautiously deep fry the katoris and avoid any injury or accidents.
After getting all your 4 katoris prepared now you can relax a bit as you have successfully cleared and passed 70% of work without harming yourself.
Step 7 – Now its time to serve

Garnishing and serving technique
Step 1 – Take 1 katori and add boiled green pea (3 tablespoons) and then pour yogurt (2 tablespoons) and top up with finely chopped diced onions and tomatoes and then add on with several ingredients such as finely chopped green chilies, chaat masala, Kashmiri lal mirch powder, sprouted green mung beans, tamarind chutney, toasted sesame seeds, roasted cumin powder, lemon juice, pomegranate seeds and add 1 tablespoon of olive oil respectively.
Step 2 – Serve this homemade chaat to your loved and dear ones and enjoy it with your family and friends.

Chaat masala recipe at home
Take some dried mango and powder them to make aamchur powder and then added black salt, rock salt, cumin powder all in proportion of 3:1 that is aamchur powder proportion 3 and rest of the ingredients in proportion 1 .This is a very easy and quick method, perform only when you are highly scarce of aamchur powder. (just kidding)
Its a very good method as it is homemade and more reliable as compared to market packaged product.
