Suzlon jumps 6% on management clarification

Shares of Suzlon EnergyNSE 4.17 % jumped nearly 6 percent on Wednesday morning after the firm clarified yesterday that it has been regular in servicing its debt obligations including servicing obligations towards banks and others for the month of January 2019.

Shares of Suzlon Energy jumped nearly 6 percent on Wednesday morning after the firm clarified yesterday that it has been regular in servicing its debt obligation. 

The scrip hovered at Rs 3.84, up 5.79 percent at around 09:32 am while the benchmark BSE Sensex was up 0.71 percent at 36,875.95 

“We are currently under the silent period for declaration of financial results for the quarter ended December 2018 and hence cannot comment further; however, wish to submit that the company is committed towards compliance of the listing regulations and would ensure necessary disclosures as for and when applicable,” the company said. 

The shares of the company had tumbled as much as 43 percent on the BSE on Tuesday on speculation the company had defaulted on its loans. 

Meanwhile, the shares of Suzlon Energy opened at Rs 3.66 on BSE against its previous closing of Rs 3.63.
