Mukesh Ambani-led company has moved up to 94th position in the Reliance Retail World (Deloitte) Top 250 Retail Firms. This is the only Indian company to make this list. Deloitte said that the Annual List of Global Powers of Retailing 2019 has been released. Deloitte made this list based on its retail revenues for the financial year 2017. Let us tell you that Reliance Retail was the new company to join the fastest 50 lists in FY16. This list was released last year. It can be seen that Reliance has continued its growth year after year. Strong operational performance has been observed in the company’s retail sector. It is the most important grocer, consumer electronics and fashion and lifestyle business.
According to the report, the world’s top 10 retailers had recorded a 31.6 percent stake in the retail revenues in the financial year 2017. Let’s tell you that top 3 retailers have managed to maintain their place. While Amazon has come up two places to the fourth place. Amazon has achieved the highest retail revenue growth with 25.3% sales. Speaking of the first place, Wal-Mart is on it. In the financial year 2017, the company has achieved a growth of 3% in its retail revenues. On the other hand, Costco on the second and Kroger on the third.
Of the top 10, 7 were American retailers, while the German firm Schwarz and Eldy Inchaff came in the 5th and 9th positions respectively. The UK’s Tesco has moved up one place to the 10th position.
