Lok Sabha election 2019 google strategy for election 2019: online advertisements

Search engine company Google will publicly submit information related to India’s Political Advertisement from March 2019 on its platform. It will contain information about the person who is buying the election advertisement and related advertising. Google has taken this step in India to increase transparency in political advertisements before the general elections (Lok Sabha Election 2019) that will be held this year in April-May.

In a statement, Google said, “To bring transparency in online election advertisements, the company will present a ‘Political Advertising Transparency Report’ focused on India and a public online Political Advertising Library, which people will be able to search.”
