Malaika Arora on MeToo Movement in India: More Noise than Change

In India, the Meteor movement has been started and many women who have suffered sexual harassment have spoken openly about this. This campaign has begun debate on issues like providing a safe environment for everyone, but actress Malaika Arora believes that there is a lot of noise rather than a change in the reality at this time.

When Malaika asked about the talk on the MeeToo Movement in India and the changes she made, she said, “I do not see much change, I am listening to people’s talk. Noisy is more. ”

After watching the tremendous impact of the MeToo movement in Hollywood, Tanuishri Datta, after the film ‘Horn Ok’, was accused of flirting during the shoot of actor Nana Patekar, the move took place in Bollywood too and many women got their tales.

There are allegations of sexual harassment on many big names such as Vikas Bahal, Chetan Bhagat, Gursimran Khambha, Kailash Kher, Rajat Kapoor, Alok Nath, Anu Malik and Sajid Khan.

However, Malaika says that this campaign is very far away now.

Malaika said, “If we are talking about the entertainment industry then there is a lot to be seen. People are talking about this. But, for real change or by coming forward by people, To do something and make the campaign successful, there is a need to change the mindset and this change can not come overnight. ”

Malaika looks like TV show “India’s Next Top Model-4” these days. It is broadcast on MTV.
