In the fifth Asian Champions Trophy (ACT) hockey to be held in Muscat from October 18 to 28, the defending champions will start their campaign against hosts Oman on the very first day. Asian Hockey Federation (AHF) announced on Thursday the program of this tournament of six countries (Malaysia, Pakistan, South Korea, Japan, Oman and India).
The Indian team will participate in the tournament as the highest ranking team and will be the claimant for the title. The world number six team is expected to get a tough challenge from the 12th ranked Malaysian and 13th Pakistani team. All teams will play five round robin matches, after which the top four teams will reach the semi-finals.
